Celebrities and athletes have joined forces to get the blood pumping next month, with a series of online fitness classes that will raise money for the NHS.

Hollyoaks star Jazmine Franks is one of the famous faces who will be leading a workout on February 6, as part of exercise brand Pulseroll’s Virtual Fitness Day.

Jazmine, from Bury, is a competitive weightlifter as well as an actress, and her workout session will focus on building muscle.

Meanwhile, Dancing on Ice winner Jake Quickenden will lead a HIIT workout, while former footballer David Cotterill will put viewers through a high intensity challenge.

Olympic gymnast Claudia Fragapane will be offering a whole body, core and active stretch class, and Hollyoaks actresses Sarah Jane Dunn is set to host a weighted legs, bums and core session.

Love Island star Connagh Howard, Emmerdale hunk Anthony Quinlan and TV presenter Laura Hamilton will also be putting participants through their paces.

Paralympic gold medallist Richard Whitehead MBE, Olympic sprinter Desirée Henry and TV doctor and Dancing on Ice skater Dr Tom Naylor also form part of the star-studded line-up.

Manchester-based Pulseroll will live stream the classes from 7am to 8pm, with workouts lasting from 20 to 45 minutes.

Participants are being asked to donate what they can to NHS Charities Together, via a donations page that will be accessible via the live stream.

Pulseroll CEO Paul McCabe said: "Whether you’re one of the millions of people stuck at home really struggling with the closure of gyms and fitness facilities, or this is your first time doing a workout in quite a while - the aim of Pulseroll’s Virtual Fitness Day is to get the nation moving, while also raising as much money as possible for what I feel is an extremely important cause.

"For nearly the past 12 months our NHS has been under constant strain - and without it, many of us would be a lot worse off than we are right now.

"While all charities are worthwhile, we’re proud to have been supporting NHS Charities Together for the past six months and we are so excited to continue our relationship by announce our online fitness day.

"A lot of hard work and effort has gone into curating a live stream of varying talent and content to really give people at home everything they need to get up and start moving.

"Whether you’re a complete beginner or an expert athlete, please join us and don’t forget to donate whatever you can.”
