BOLTON artists have been shortlisted for an award as part of a regional festival.
The Festival of Hope, organised by museums in Bolton, Carlisle, Lancashire, Sefton and West Cheshire, has been shortlisted for the title of best art project in the 2021 Hearts For The Arts awards.
Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the join project between Curious Minds and Blaze Arts was held in July and August.
The national lockdown in March saw the festival plans quickly changed, moving all events online.
Virtual sessions included messages of hope, a performance of A Stitch in Time, and an interview with Sacha Coward, the museum practitioner.
The winners of each category will be revealed on February 14.
Visit festivalofhope.co.uk/Bolton for more information about the project.
