DOGS could be in for a treat thanks to a new boutique that specialises in providing quality canine supplies, clothing, beds and more.

Coco’s Puppy Boutique is an online store that was launched in Blackburn during lockdown and hopes to show that new enterprise can thrive even in the toughest of times.

The store caters to all dogs whatever their ages at what it says are accessible prices.

Founder and Blackburn local Kerry Cunliffe said: “For a long time I’d dreamed of running my own business, and then just over a year ago our dog Coco came into our lives.

“We wanted to give her everything, great quality, beautiful looking products but we couldn’t find a place where it all came together in one place.

“So, I left my full-time job, and began searching across the globe for products and suppliers that we thought our customers-to-be would love and began putting together our range and website.”

However, as people from all walks of life know, this has been a particularly challenging year for new businesses as the ever-evolving coronavirus situation has harshly impacted trading conditions since March.

But Ms Cunliffe believes that hard work and innovative business practices have helped see the new business through.

She said: “While supplier lead times increased and it became trickier to get hold of stock, we were determined to hit our initial launch date in August and were so proud when we achieved this.

“We’ve put our heart and soul into our business, website and range, so after lots of long days, sleepless nights, and video calls because of lockdown with our team across the UK, we did it and we’re delighted to help our customers find beautiful, useful products for their dogs.

“We’ve also created some amazing features that can’t be found anywhere else, like our dog membership scheme and helping our customers get the right size products for their dogs, as well as our exclusive loyalty scheme.”

With the store up and running, customers will now be able to explore the wide range of dog products, while if they sign up for the company’s members scheme, they will collect £50 worth of points to spend.
