PARENTS are being urged again to remain vigilant after police intercepted a batch of sweets containing cannabis oil in Blackburn and Cumbria.
Officers recently intercepted the items, disguised in 'Nerds Rope' packaging in a post office in Blackburn, with fellow officers in Cumbria finding a package due to be delivered in Windermere.
The cannabis oil contained in the sweets is believed to be around 50 times stronger than a normal cannabis joint.
Police are urging anyone who has been offered such items for sale or who believes they may have come across them to come forward and call officers on 101.
