TWO men are wanted by police in connection with affray offences after a fight broke out in a beer garden of a Clayton-le-Moors pub.

Police were called around 3.15pm on October 4 to reports of an altercation in the beer garden at the Royal Oak Public House in Sparth Road.

A number of glasses had been thrown with a group of men making off from the scene. As the group left the pub a rock was thrown at a staff member causing a serious head injury.

The two wanted men David Osbaldeston, 27, of Shuttleworth Street, Rishton and Ben Cronshaw, 23, of Edward Street, Rishton are wanted in connection with the incident.

Osbaldeston is also wanted in connection with an offence of aggravated burglary on October 3 in Essex Street, Accrington.

Around 3.15pm on October 3, two men reportedly forced their way inside an address and threatened a man with a knife before smashing a bottle over his head.

Police are appealing for information leading to Osbaldeston and Cronshaw’s whereabouts. Both men are considered violent and should not be approached.

Det Sgt Steve Munro, of Blackburn Police, said: “We would urge anyone with information about these two men to come forward immediately.

“Both are wanted in connection with serious offences and are not to be approached.

“If you can help us please get in touch immediately.

“I would also ask Osbaldeston and Cronshaw to do the right thing and come forward and speak to police.”
