OFFICERS tracking a stolen Mercedes discovered an illegal chop shop in an industrial estate.
Lancashire Police were called by colleagues in Cheshire on Thursday evening after they had tracked a stolen Mercedes to an industrial unit on Blackburn Road in Oswaldtwistle.
Once inside they found a large quantity of suspected stolen vehicle parts and cars in the process of being dismantled.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at 9.30pm yesterday by a Cheshire Police who had tracked a stolen Mercedes to an industrial estate in Blackburn Road, Oswaldtwistle.
“We have attended and found a large quantity of suspected stolen vehicle parts and vehicles in the process of being dismantled. A 23-year-old man, of no fixed address, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a vehicle.
“He remains in custody.”
