THE public are being urged not to approach a man wanted by police.
James Thomas Butterworth, who answers to the name Jimmy, is wanted for failing to appear on a warrant issued by Blackburn Magistrates Court to answer a charge of breaching a suspended sentence.
That suspended sentence was in relation to a domestic assault.
Butterworth, 37, who has links to Blackburn, Accrington and Morecambe, is described as 5ft 10ins tall, of a stocky build with dark brown cropped hair and blue eyes.
DS Robert Trickett, of the East MOSOVO team, said: “We would advise the public not to approach Butterworth but to report any sightings to police straight away. If Butterworth reads this appeal himself, I would urge him to make immediate contact with us.”
Anyone with information on Butterworth’s whereabouts should call police on 101, quoting log 0908 of August 4th, 2020, or email MOSOVOEAST@lancashire.pnn.police.uk.
