Why you might have seen an air ambulance landing in Darwen today
RESIDENTS of Darwen may have spotted an air ambulance landing in the town earlier today.
Bold Venture Park, off Belgrave Road, became a landing spot for the North West Air Ambulance this afternoon.
The helicopter was responding to a medical incident in a nearby house.
A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to a private address in the area at 1.30pm.
"The air ambulance has landed in the park as it was the closest suitable space."
No further details about the patient or their condition is known at this time.
