A drug dealer who was arrested in his car after police spotted him selling class As on the streets of Blackburn has been jailed.
Zainul Patel, 25, was apprehended by police on March 11, after officers from the targeted crime team witnessed a suspected drugs transaction on Brunswick Street in Blackburn.
Class A drugs worth around £20 were recovered from an alleged buyer, and Patel was stopped in his vehicle a short time later, before being detained on suspicion of supplying crack cocaine and heroin.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Following both forensic and telephone enquiries, Patel was charged with supplying class A drugs, namely crack cocaine and heroin, and was remanded in custody."
This week, Patel, of Bromley Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to the offences and was sentenced to four years in prison.
