Sweet-toothed thieves have broken into a train station and smashed a vending machine, making off with several bars of chocolate.
As well as helping themselves to a selection of tasty treats, the trio stole a charity box from the on-site Costa Coffee shop.
The incident took place between midnight and 1am on Thursday, and officers from the British Transport Police say they are now investigating the matter.
A spokesperson for the BTP said: "Between midnight and 1am on Thursday there was a burglary at Lancaster.
"Three people accessed the station and smashed a vending machine, taking chocolate bars.
"A charity box was also stolen from Costa Coffee.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
