A man who tried to kick a female police officer in the face after kicking another in the leg has been charged with two counts of assault on emergency workers.
Officers from the British Transport Police were attempting to remove an abusive man from Preston train station on Saturday.
In their efforts, the man kicked one officer on the leg.
A second officer was kicked on the wrist after she'd put her arm up to deflect a kick which was heading towards her face.
A spokesperson for the BTP said: "As officers were removing an abusive male from the station, he kicked one on the leg.
"A second officer was kicked on the wrist after she put her arm up to deflect a kick to the face.
"The man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault on emergency workers and has been bailed to court."
