This poor little lamb had to be rescued by fire crews after it fell into a canal.
Firefighters from Padiham and Nelson were called by passers-by who were out walking along the canal near Altham Lane, and spotted the animal, which had escaped from a nearby farm.
When they arrived the crews found the lamb was soaked to the bone and looked very tired.
Luckily, the cute creature was picked up and whisked back to the farmer.
Posting on Twitter on Monday afternoon, a spokesperson for Padiham fire station said: "Padiham's first rescue for June 2020.
"This little lamb was noticed by walkers along the canal and they called 999 for assistance.
"Both Padiham and Nelson arrived and safely returned the rather soggy and tired lamb to the farmer."
