A SHOPLIFTER with a taste for booze was caught trying to walk out of Sainsbury’s with six bottles of Vodka without paying.

Tha man was confronted by two staff members at the supermarket who tried to stop him but the offender threatened them with a piece of broken glass.

He managed to run away with a bottle of vodka.

No one was injured during the incident that happened on Monday at about 5.20pm.

Thames Valley Police has now released a CCTV image of a man officers would like to speak to in connection with a shoplifting and assault offences.

Investigating officer Henry North said: "I am keen to speak to the man in this CCTV image as I believe he may have important information about what happened.

"If you believe this to be you, or you recognise the man in the image, please get in touch with police."
