STAFF at a Lake District doctors’ surgery say they are “delighted” inspectors have recognised their hard work.

Windermere and Bowness Medical Practice, the health centre at Goodly Dale, Windermere, received a ‘good’ rating across all areas from the Care Quality Commission in the final report of its latest inspection. Delighted staff said this came after receiving a ‘good’ rating in the previous inspections.

Nicky Chapman, practice coordinator, said: “We are delighted to see our hard work being recognised by the CQC and we will continue to work with our patients to provide the best service and care possible.

“Our recent Friends and Family results show more than nine in 10 of our patients would recommend us to their loved ones, which is something we’re really proud of.”

Inspectors said practice staff “provided care in a way that kept patients safe and protected them from avoidable harm”.
