AN INVESTIGATION is under way into an alleged assault at a South Lakeland school.
The Gazette understands the incident occurred at Dallam School, a mixed comprehensive in Milnthorpe.
A spokesman for the school has since assured parents any “issues between students” were dealt with “quickly and effectively”.
Confirming that an investigation was ongoing, a spokeswoman for Cumbria Constabulary said the incident on Haverflatts Lane on January 13 was “reported to have involved two boys of school age”.
A spokesman for Dallam School said: “At Dallam School we demand the highest of standards from both ourselves and our students.
“Where these expectations are not met, they are addressed in ways that are appropriate and in line with best practice.
“This includes doing all that we can to look at options for restorative justice, which is an important part of the caring community of which we are so proud. If there are any issues between students, which is something that all schools have to manage, then we would like to assure parents that these are dealt with quickly and effectively.”
