A MAN was robbed and assaulted in a town centre by a man and a woman.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was attacked in East Topping Street, Blackpool, on Thursday, February 13, at 11.30pm.

Police said the man was walking near to Iceland when he was befriended by a man and woman who walked with him to East Topping Street in the town centre, where it is thought they attacked and stole money from him.

The male attacker is described as white man, of slender build, 5ft 8in tall and in his late 20s or early 30s.

The female attacker is described as white, of slender build and 5ft 6in tall in her late 20 or early 30s, with mousey hair in a pony tail.

The victim is white and of medium build with light coloured hair.

He was wearing a black puffer jacket and blue jeans.

Police would also like to speak to a man who offered to help the victim afterwards and may have witnessed the incident.

He is described as white, of stocky build and 5ft 10in tall with black hair and an unshaven face.
