POLICE are trying to trace a driver after a woman was hit by a car.
A 66-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit by a car in Hall Green in Upholland at around 1.30pm on Saturday, February 8.
The driver of the vehicle, which is described as a possibly a green coloured car, left the scene before providing their details.
It is believed a male witness stopped at the scene and made a remark that he had seen the vehicle registration.
So far no report has been received from either the driver or potential witness.
PC Damian Whittle said: "A woman has suffered serious injuries and our thoughts are with her at this time.
"We need the driver of the vehicle involved to get in touch so we can establish exactly what happened.
"Likewise, if you are the witness mentioned above or have any information that could help, we need to hear from you."
