One of the most legendary dance music DJs in the world is heading to East Lancashire to perform a live set as part of his 2020 UK and Ireland tour.

Judge Jules, who pioneered the club scene and has led the way in the world of dance music since he first hit the decks in 1987 will be performing live at St Mary's Chambers in Rawtenstall.

The former Radio 1 and Kiss FM stalwart has spun some unforgettable sets at the world’s most iconic clubs and festivals including Gatecrasher, Ministry of Sound, Global Gathering and Creamfields.

Events booker and promoter at St Mary's Chambers, Danny Solazzo, said it's an exciting time for Rossendale and the venue: "We are over the moon to have been able to secure Judge Jules; its great for the venue and huge for the area to be able to attract bigger names to the valley.

"There's a lot of excitement building for the place and it's exciting for us as venue owners and promoters to see who we can try and bring to Rossendale.

"Jules is a huge name from the 90s/00s club scene. In fact, one of the first Ministry of Sound compilations I owned was mixed by him.

As a DJ there isn’t much he hasn’t achieved."

With ten top 40 singles under his belt, as well as a repertoire of compilation mixes that have racked up more than three million sales, the DJ with the longest standing residency in Ibiza history is expected to raise the roof off St Mary's Chambers when he travels to East Lancashire in March.

Mr Solazzo added: "We are passionate about live music and so far we've managed to attract 90s Brit Pop band, The Bluetones; former Hacienda DJ and house music pioneer Graeme Park; 00’s indie favourites Toploader; The Drifters; The Specials' Neville Staple and his band, and many more.

"With lots of great things happening in Rawtenstall and locally, we are proud to add exciting live events to the area with no expense spared on sound and light production, making trips to bigger venues out of town not as necessary."
