ANOTHER strong year has been recorded by one of East Lancashire's largest private-sector employers.

Revenue growth at Boohoo, which has a huge factory at Heasandford in Burnley, has grown by 44 per cent year-on-year.

Warehousing staff have also been singled out for praise by management in their latest trading update.

The clothing giant's performance has been bolstered by strong performances by their subsidiaries, with the likes of MissPap, Karen Millen and Coast becoming integrated into the outfit.

John Lyttle, chief executive, said: "I am delighted to report the group has enjoyed record trading in the last four months of 2019.

"All of our brands have performed exceptionally well and delivered strong market share gains.

"We have continued to see operating leverage in our more established brands, and will continue to invest into them and our newly-acquired brands."

Revenue growht is expected to be around the 40 per cent mark by the company's financial year end on February 29.
