COUNCIL bosses have praised a video wall installed by an East Lancs firm after it racked up 25,000 hours in service.

Bosses at Bristol City Council unveiled a bank of 55-inch displays, provided by Burnley's Ultimate Visual Solutions, when it opened a security operations centre for the city in February 2017.

Emergency services, traffic control and community safety cameras had been brought under one roof for the first time, covering 700 sites.

Peter Anderson, the council's service head, said the wall was "an integral element" in maintaining Bristol's security.

Steve Murphy, UVS managing director, said the company had also enabled the wall to be accessed by mobiles and tablets.
