SALES have rocketed at an East Lancashire sports nutrition specialist year-on-year.
Science in Sport has been reaping the benefits of its takeover of rival PhD in late 2018.
Underlying sales at the Nelson-based firm rose by 23 per cent to £26million for 2019.
Earlier this year the company also launched a new facility for PhD at their Lomeshaye base.
Stephen Moon, their chief executive, described 2019 as a "landmark year" for the venture.
And with fresh additions to the boardroom, a e-sales up 34 per cent over the same period, he is expecting the next 12 months to continue in the same vein.
He added: "We remain confident of the outlook for 2020 and beyond, supported by a robust balance sheet and strong innovation pipeline.”
