ST MICHAEL'S church held its Christmas domino drive. Fifty players competed for prizes, and the top score of 117 was by T Blenkinship. Liz Grose thanked Ada Barnett for organising the evening and providing the refreshments, and presented her with a potted plant.
Meanwhile, the Christmas fair in the memorial hall featured everything from handcrafted gifts to baking, along with stalls for local organisations such as the Old Courthouse, the 106 bus group and Arthritis Research. The red and gold stall with mystery wrapped gifts proved popular and quickly sold out. Santa was present and kept everyone in a jolly mood.
The two events raised around £700 for church funds.
