POLICE have formally identified a man's body that was recovered from a reservoir.
Officers had discovered a body on November 6 and believed it was that of missing Luke Noone, who was last seen on October 15 in Darwen.
However officers have now identified the body is that of the 21-year-old.
A police spokesman said: "Luke, from the Islington area of Blackburn, was last seen on October 15 in Darwen.
"Following extensive searches police recovered a body from a reservoir close to Punstock Road on November 6.
"He has since been formally identified.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file has been passed to the coroner.
"Our thoughts remain with Luke’s family at this difficult time."
Just before his disappearance, Luke had been to see his auntie and had left his bag with her, taking only a white Samsung tablet with him, but no charger.
Detectives also tried to trace a woman who may have spoken to Luke.
At around 10.30am on Sunday, November 3, a woman told a mountain rescue volunteer she had spoken to a man matching Mr Noone’s description at the junction of Inverness Road and Manor Road in Darwen.
