A YELLOW weather warning for rain has been issued for East Lancashire today.
The Met Office put the warning in at midnight and it is expected until last until noon.
A Met Office spokesman said heavy rain may cause transport disruption with flooding in places.
On its website, the spokesman said: "There might be spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.
"Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.
"Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely.
"Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible.
"Some communities may be cut off by flooded roads."
