CONISTON...

EARLIER in the year, Coniston Primary School’s class one made poo bag dispensers which were placed around Coniston. The dispensers are being used and Graham Hill is doing an amazing job of keeping them stocked. There is some delay, however, on delivery of bags from the South Lakeland District Council. If anyone has any spare bags, would you please help by keeping the dispensers stocked, either by directly putting them in the dispensers or dropping them off at the school.

TROUTBECK...

A VERY enjoyable evening was held at Troutbeck Institute, when Ian Jones presented his Magical Lantern Tour of Victorian Lakeland. He had taken the photos from glass slides between 1860 and 1890 and transferred them on to his computer, the quality was excellent. More than £200 was raised for the village association funds.
