A COUPLE from Wilton celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary at the weekend.
Ron and May Haine raised a toast to 60 "glorious" years together on the September 12.
At a surprise party hosted by their son Andrew, family and friends joined them to celebrate and there was a surprise visit from the Mayor and Mayoress John and Carrie Walsh.
Ron is well known in the motor industry having been service manager at Henley’s and Goddards in Salisbury before running his own garage at Bell Lane, Wilton.
May had worked at Devizes Road and Pembroke Park schools as a teaching assistant.
The party took place at their son’s new shop/gallery Squirrel antiques and interiors (60a Winchester Street), where there was a display of their married life in a photo exhibition.
