JEWELLER Peter Jackson has signed a new sponsorship deal with Blackburn Rovers Ladies team.
Mr Jackson said: “As Blackburn Rovers’ oldest corporate sponsor, we’re delighted to confirm that from this season, we shall be making a presentation to the Player of the Match at every Ladies home game.
“The whole Blackburn community is proud of the achievements of the Ladies team.
"They are an inspiration to the growing number of girls playing grass roots football and it is a privilege for our company to be supporting them.”
All Rovers Ladies players and staff were at the announcement, with local girls’ clubs invited down to meet their heroes.
Rovers’ 2018-19 trophies were also on display in the store.
Team manager Gemma Donnelly said: “It’s fantastic to have Peter Jackson the Jeweller team up with us this season.
"It will be very special to further boost our already tremendous support from Peter and for the players to receive a Player of the Match award."
