POLICE are appealing for information after a teenager drove a car into a wall at the entrance to a park.

The stolen Toyota Corolla, being driven by a 14-year-old boy, was leaving the Pleasington Playing Fields towards Tower Road in Blackburn when it crashed into the wall on Saturday at 9.25pm.

The boy suffered serious pelvic injuries.

A passenger, also 14-year-old boy, suffered a collar bone injury.

Police originally reported that the passenger was 24 years old.

The pair were taken to hospital and remain there.

No one has been arrested at this time.

Sgt Craig Booth said: "Our investigation is focusing on how these boys, particularly the driver, has ended up at the wheel of this car and why it went into the gate post.

"If you saw or heard anything in the lead up to the incident or you witnessed it as it happened, please get in contact."
