Do you recognise this location?
On the Whittington Village Blog (www.whittingtonvillage.org.uk/blog/where-is-this/) we have been asked if we can identify the location of the scene shown here, which Andrew Fortune of Ilkley tells us was painted around 1910.
We were asked if we believe it to be Whittington. We can be confident in saying it is not. It has also been suggested it may be Barbon, viewed from Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Course. This is also doubtful. If any Gazette readers have a more informed view we would be delighted to hear from them on john.loynepark@btinternet.com
