A CLAYTON-le-Moors pub which has undergone a total transformation will be holding its first cider festival this weekend.
The Old England Forever reopened in April having been taken over by the Bank Top Brewery. Tomorrow and Sunday landlord Chris Hardy will be introducing 12 different ciders for visitors to the pub to try alongside the pub’s cask ales.
“We have had such a great reception since we re-opened,” said Chris. “The community has really responded to what we are doing and we want to stage a series of special events during the year both for our regulars and to encourage other pub lovers come and visit us.”
As well as the cider festival, Chris is already planning a gin festival to be held on Saturday, July 27.
