A SHOPLIFTER has been ordered to pay £90 compensation after pleading guilty to stealing £180 of women’s clothing.
David Michael Hodgson-Smith, 34, of Hudson Street, Burnley, committed the offence at the Marks and Spencer store in the town on February 4.
Burnley magistrates imposed an eight-week curfew, meaning Hodgson-Smith can’t leve his home between 7pm and 11.59pm.
The compensation will be deducted from his benefits. No order for costs was made.
