The next generation of makers from across East Lancashire were given the opportunity to showcase their designs last weekend at the Festival of Making.
A Future Makers Market was held, which gave young entrepreneurs the chance to sell their own created, curated, designed or upcycled product lines.
Products on offer included paintings and illustrations from Creative Arts students from Blackburn College, and heat press gifts including cards, keyrings and mugs from the college’s Get Set Supported Internships.
Blackburn Town Centre BID Manager, Catherine Price, said: "The Future Makers Market was not only an opportunity for the next generation of creative entrepreneurs to test their business ventures but also a chance to be part of a unique celebration of making.
"We hope that by putting them in the same arena as some of the nation’s most innovative makers and shakers who are making a living from their creative skills, they will see what’s possible and be inspired to pursue their dreams."
