ELEVEN children and two interpreters from Belarus have spent a day as guests of the Rotary Club of Lunesdale.
In the morning president Hugh Sweenie and president elect Dave Lewis, plus some members of the club met the children, aged eight to 12, at the Lakeland Climbing Centre in Kendal.
Here they enjoyed, with great enthusiasm, the numerous challenges the centre offers including the "Leap of Death."
Lunch was provided at Kirkby Lonsdale followed by a visit to the swing park in Barbon. Next on the agenda was a relaxing walk along the river path at Kirkby Lonsdale on a warm and sunny day.
Afternoon tea was eaten with relish before finally each of the children was presented with a backpack full of useful goodies plus a teddy bear.
It was then time to share hugs and say goodbyes before boarding the bus and heading back to their host families in Silverdale.
