POLICE joked about recovering stolen high-vis jackets.
Officers from Barrow Police said they have received reports of the stolen jackets but they "weren't difficult to find".
Barrow Police's Twitter account said: "Police have a report of theft of high viz jackets, as you can imagine, they weren't difficult to find #SpotThemAMileOff #IsntThatThePoint."
They posted a further tweet in reply to someone who joked about "safety-conscious criminals".
It said: "Even criminals have to comply with health and safety rules. We don’t want them straining their backs lifting stolen property!"
