A FAMILY run antique shop is set to feature on BBC’s Celebrity Antique Roadshow later this year.

Sleddhall Antique Centre, on Wildman Street in Kendal, welcomed presenter Izzie Balmer and former winner of ITV’s reality programme I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Georgia Toffolo, last Thursday as part of BBC’s new show.

The shop, which has been running as a family business for around 60 years, has appeared on the popular Antique Roadshow programme a number of times but it will make its first appearance on BBC’s celebrity version.

Proprietor Andrew Aindow described the event as “interesting” and “fun”.

“The production team were filming in our shop for around three hours,” he said.

“It was quite interesting and Miss Toffolo was very lovely and natural.

“She was very easy to get along with and acts just in the same way as you would see her on television.

“We think the programme should air before the end of the year.”
