THE Friday headliners of Salisbury's Armed Forces Day have been announced.

English quintet The Feeling, known for hits including Fill My Little World and Love It When You Call, will get the weekend of celebration started on June 28.

Prior to their performance, Shine for Salisbury winners Duck n Cuvver will get the evening going on the live music stage, which is hosted by platinum sponsor KBR Aspire Defence.

On the Saturday, the main act – which organisers say will be announced soon, will be supported by The Upbeat Beatles and Shine for Salisbury winners The Treblemakers. The Saturday night live music is sponsored by platinum sponsor Lovell.

Internationally renowned band Björn Again will bring the three-day spectacular to a close on performing many of ABBA’s greatest hits after a rousing performance by the third Shine for Salisbury winners, Salisbury Rock Choir.

Baroness Scott of Bybrook OBE, leader of Wiltshire Council, said: “We’re delighted to be unveiling our full line-up for the main stage over the next few days, we know a lot of people have been waiting excitedly to hear who will be performing.

“We’re proud to be putting on not just one but three evenings of high calibre live music. With these wonderful names, including The Feeling, The Upbeat Beatles and Björn Again, this is a really varied line-up that will appeal to everyone.”

Free tickets for the three days are now available online but are going fast. You can book yours by visiting www.wiltshire.gov.uk/salisbury-afd.
