IT WAS a washout weekend across East Lancashire with events cancelled left, right and centre.
But the 39th Slaidburn Steam and Vintage Vehicle Display festival ploughed ahead as planned - and hundreds enjoyed the cars, buses and tractors on show.
Organised by David McNamee, proceeds from this year's event will go to the Hodder Valley Show and Hodder Valley Bowling Club.
