AN East Lancashire nightclub is gearing up to welcome one of the world's biggest boy bands back through their doors.

Backstreet is officially coming back as global superstars the Backstreet Boys will be travelling to Darwen on Monday night for their official after party after playing to thousands at a sold-out Manchester Arena.

But it is not the first time the boys have ventured to East Lancashire, as hotspot Level One played host to the I Want It That Way starts back in 2012.

Back then it was the now-closed Accrington location that welcomed the boys, but seven-years later it will be Darwen where they will appear.

Club owner Leon Kelly said he was proud to be able to bring such big names to the area.

He said: "We were approached by the band's management asking if we would host their official after party and of course we said yes. They will travel to Darwen after their gig in Manchester on Monday night and we can't wait to welcome them.

"Doors to the club will open at 10pm and it is sure to be a really fun night. The boys will arrive and there will be good music and even the chance to meet them for those who pay in as VIPs."

Level One has hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry over the years, including Jess Glynn, Nelly and Fatman Scoop.

Mr Kelly said: "It is a real honour to host so many big names. There are always naysayers who have negative things to say, but we are proud to be able to put East Lancashire on the map, it's good for the area to have these big names coming. They may never have step foot here otherwise."

The Backstreet Boys are currently travelling the world on their DNA tour.

They will play the Manchester Arena on Monday night before travelling to Darwen to unwind after the gig.

Tickets to the after party are available to buy on their website www.backstreetboys.com with general admission costing £21. Those wishing to get up close and personal with the band can pay £230 for the VIP experience.
