SUPPORT worth £13million is on offer to Lancashire people looking to bolster their job prospects.

A new community grants scheme has been launched by Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP), using European Social Fund assistance.

Its Access to Employment, Moving On and Skills Support programmes, all geared towards helping people to move into jobs, advance in their career, or secure apprenticeships or training, have also been recommissioned.

The three initiatives, which have been going since 2016, are delivered in partnership with the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESF).

Dennis Mendoros, LEP director and managing director of Earby-based Euravia, said: "These are an essential part of the LEP’s strategy to drive economic growth and job creation, particularly in key sectors like construction, manufacturing, financial and professional services, creative and digital and health and social care."
