TRIBUTES have been paid to a much-loved father, husband and brother who died in a motorcycle accident over the weekend.

Chris Raw, died following an incident on New Road in Burnley on Sunday afternoon when a Toyota Yaris crashed into his Triumph motorcycle.

Paramedics attended but the 62-year-old from Huddersfield was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement Chris’ family said: “Chris was a much loved husband, brother and devoted father to two sons.

“He was known for his sense of adventure and his love for outdoor pursuits. He was a keen walker, cyclist and enjoyed skiing. He always tried to look at the brighter side of life and was always game for a laugh, which endeared him to his wide circle of friends.

“Chris enjoyed nothing more than going out with his friends on his motorcycle, and through the years he had covered the length and breadth of the country. He died doing what he loved.

"He will be sorely missed by all who knew him."

The driver and passenger who were travelling in the Yaris both suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for around six hours while specialist collision investigators attended. Anybody with information is to call 101 quoting log number 757 of May 19.
