A ROAD which had to be closed to traffic due to a burst water main has re-opened.
The A65 Bentinck Drive westbound at Devil's Bridge was closed for at least two days following the incident which damaged the road surface.
United Utilities (UU) was on the scene and a two-way traffic signal is now in place.
A UU spokesperson said: "We’re really sorry for the disruption. However, we have worked overnight to reconstruct the damaged section of the road to help get the traffic flowing again in time for this morning’s rush hour and are making good progress.

Since yesterday water supplies were being rerouted through a different part of the network to help keep taps flowing in the area.
