A US entertainment firm has secured a British presence by snapping up a Blackburn enterprise.

HSL Group Holdings, of Philips Road, is now part of Las Vegas video and lighting rental outfit 4Wall.

Blackburn's own Forbes Solicitors advised on the negotiations, which will see HSL's premises on Glenfield Business Park rebranded.

Wes Bailey, 4Wall chief operating officer, said: “This was the right time for 4Wall to expand into the international market. There is a strong group in place that will help us introduce our brand to the UK in a positive way.

"(We) have previously worked together on concert touring acts travelling between the two countries, creating a natural partnership between key employees and customers that will be strengthened moving forward."

Simon Stuart, HSL's managing director, who remains with the business, added: "This deal will ensure the long-term stability of our location.

"We couldn't be happier to join this amazing organisation and would like to thank the team at Forbes for their expert help in ensuring this deal was concluded successfully."

Pauline Rigby, partner and head of corporate at Forbes, and associate solicitor Jenny Burke acted for HSL Group Holdings Limited in the sale of its business and assets, on structure of the deal and on the transactional documentation.

Mrs Rigby said: “We are delighted to have been asked to assist HSL with its decision to become part of the 4Wall family.

"Working on a deal of this nature is a sign of the excellent reputation which the corporate team has for delivering expert advice and experience at such a key point in a business's journey."
