FIREFIGHTERS were rushed off their feet during an eventful morning in Burnley.
Burnley fire crews were called to an empty house in Penistone Close at 3am on Saturday after a fire in a bedroom.
The fire is thought to be deliberate and the perpetrators are believed to have been trying to steal copper wiring and copper pipes. Damage was confined to a joist and the floorboards of the bedroom.
Crews used a hose reel to put out the fire.
Around two hours later firefighters went to Crown Point Road after arsonists set a car on fire.
But they were able to extinguish it quickly with a hose reel.
Another call-out saw arsonists set building materials and rubbish in a skip on fire in Barden Lane at 6am that day.
Fire crews used a hose reel to put out the fire.
