A BIN caught fire last night (Sunday) with the fire spreading to the kitchen of a house.
Crews from Nelson were called at around 11.05pm and spent nearly two hours battling the fire at a house in Hartley Street, Nelson.
Nobody was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
A fire service spokesman said: "Two fire engines from Nelson attended a fire involving a bin which spread to the kitchen of a terraced property on Hartley Street, Nelson. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire and crews were at the scene for nearly two hours.
"No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation."
