A SHOP is celebrating 50 years by giving one school the chance to win £1,000.

This year marks 50 years of The Original Factory Shop. To celebrate, schools have been competing to win £1,000 by creating artwork that represents what their community means to them.

Staff from the Great Harwood branch named Great Harwood Primary as their finalist and the winning artwork will be unveiled in store on May 18.

Great Harwood Primary is now in with a chance to win the title of national winner and £1,000 for their school.

Emma Fox, CEO of The Original Factory Shop, said “Everyone in Great Harwood is coming together for what we’re hoping will be an amazing event. I’d like to personally invite everyone in the area to come and get involved in what will be an amazing celebration.”

On Saturday May 18 Great Harwood Primary’s winning creation will be displayed for all of the town to come together and see.

Schools are also invited to perform at the store. The store are looking for everything from choirs, dance troupes and even magic acts to get in touch and showcase their talent.
