MEET the Accrington mum bringing princesses to life for delighted children.

Emily-Jane-Lord, 23, regularly transformed into Princess Anna — from Disney film Frozen — as a favour for her mum at charity events.

It inspired her to set up her own business, Emily's Royal Princesses & CO, earlier this year so people can hire her fairytale services for parties and events.

As well as entertaining children across Lancashire, she has two number one fans — her daughters Melody, four, and Honey, two.

Miss Lord offers a variety of party packages, complete with princess disco games and prizes, and sources material for all her costumes which are handmade.

She said: “I was unable to follow all my friends to university so, instead of that stopping me, I decided to ask my children’s grandma to make a princess dress for me.

“She worked really hard on it and I started wearing it for Buddy’s, a charity for children with autism, which is close to my heart.

“My mum runs it, so I decided that I would help her at events to make sure she was raising money and giving back to the people who support her charity.”

Miss Lord has been steadily growing her business by offering appearances from Princess Anna, Queen Elsa, Rapunzel, Ariel, Jessie from Toy Story and a yellow Power Ranger.

She said: “Bringing my girls up, these princesses were difficult to try and afford so I decided I would offer it at affordable prices for all families."

Miss Lord, who has a degree in musical theatre, says her two girls love their mum dressing up as their favourite princesses.

She said: “The girls love it. They get so excited when I get all dressed up. We just dress up and play princesses all the time. I practise new things on them such as princess story time and games.”
