KENDAL delicatessan and cafe Pomegranate and Sage has shut, just 15 months after it opened in Wainwright's Yard.
Tony Shaw, who ran the venue, yesterday told the Gazette he did not wish to comment on the closure.
The venue specialised in freshly prepared salads, home-made soups, deli boxes and cakes.
Back in February 2018 Mr Shaw, a former cabin crew member, told the Gazette he had spent 25 years travelling the world and hoped to offer an ever-changing menu.
On the eatery's first birthday, its staff and "wonderful customers" were thanked via a Facebook post.
