A MAN seen by police driving at 20mph in a 60 zone and continuously crossing the centre white line passed a roadside breathalyser.
Blackburn magistrates heard the officer who stopped Shabaz Ahmed Sarwar described his eyes as "like black marbles" and said he could barely manage to speak.
And a subsequent blood test showed the presence of cannabis, cocaine and its derivative, benzoylecgonine.
Sarwar, 37, of Larch Street, Nelson, pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit for all three drugs. He was committed to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced after the magistrates were told he was in breach of a suspended sentence imposed by the Crown Court in July.
The court heard Sarwar gave a reading of 533 micrograms of benzoylecgonine per litre of blood against the legal limit of 50, 44 micrograms of cocaine against the limit of 10 and 5.6 micrograms of cannabis against the legal limit of 2.
He told police he had smoked cannabis that day but said he had taken cocaine a few days ago.
