DRIVERS were hit by delays... because of a double-parked car.
The Grane Road in Haslingden was partially blocked this morning by car stopping the free flow of traffic near the Holden Arms.
Congestion reached as far back as the Grey Mare Inn and the A56 Haslingden Bypass as cars had to take turns to pass the vehicle.
It is believed that the police contacted the owner of the Vauxhall Meriva but it was parked legally.
A police spokesman confirmed that it was causing 'some significant delays' and another motorist moved their vehicle and that 'freed things up by 9.20am."

One motorist who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I queued for best part of 40 minutes from the Grey Mare pub.
"All because a thoughtless person left their car causing traffic to be single lane.
"My daughter's boyfriend was 30 minutes late for work.
"There must have been hundreds of lost work hours this morning because of it."
