MORE than 100 young people, whose ages ranged from toddlers to teenagers, gathered at the ‘Bird Cage’ in Kendal town centre today for the latest in a series of climate change protests.
The youngsters took full advantage of the fact that the school Easter holidays were taking place to head down to the event in numbers, and they were joined by many parents and other concerned local residents.

Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron addressed the protestors and thanked them for their efforts as well as offering words of encouragement.
The group were also addressed by local leaders of the international ‘Youth Strike 4 Climate’ campaign, which organised similar co-ordinated protests in towns and cities across the country on the day.
